Talking of unreadable number plates, the British police now have set up across the nationwide road network auto-number-plate-readers that track your car, reveal your business, your identity, your address, any criminal convictions or just suspicions and whether or not you're owing road tax (nonpayment of which can get your car CRUSHED!!)... also they do spot checks using handheld versions, a little like speed traps
