Who would've thought that Clancy would come in first place in his dog obedience class as well as the most improved dog in the class?? Certainly not me....especially after his styrofoam escapade!

Clancy, like my dear departed JoJo, is a dog whose heart is bigger than he is, and he knows unconditional love and returns it. Why wouldn't he get first place? It is his due, but he is modest about it. That's how the truly great handle things.

Well done Clancy: The sterofoam thing was just a way of getting rid of mischief.
We had a dog that would at time chew things while our back was turned or we were out. What we did was put doggy treats in coke bottles.. we would leave these out for him and he would spend his time getting the treats out. Less mess to clean up and it kept him busy.
Great compensation for the Styrofoam incident.

Well done for that! He still has that rather sheepish styrofoam-related look.
The styrofoam reminds me of the best trained dog I ever had, who was an Alsatian (we used to do display work sometimes). But - every now and then - she would open the cupboard with cat food in (she was very good with doors and handles), take out the packet, open it, eat it, and then try to hide the evidence in various creative ways (bury, shred...) But you always knew instantly what had happened from the guilty look.
That is one pretty dog. He just wanted to play and have some fun.
OMG, the dog is absolutely gorgeous! He deserves the title.
