A Sad Day

This will come as a BIG surprise to my nephews in Virginia but the LE BARON is no more...I know I know..... you thought the tominator would be the first to go but No...It bit the dust today when Uncle Charley slid into a mini van and the air bag deployed and the left headlight is gone and the hood is bent and the list is endless. The good news...no one was hurt..no tickets were given so not even really his fault but Uncle Charley has NEVER been in an accident before....he was pretty surprised...and still feels shocked...so ...goodbye to the Le Baron...it has moved on to the car resting place ( isn't that called a junk yard?) ..now....if only I can unload the '88 suburban.......*SIGH*

Gosh! did Charley get banged up at all? The lebaron served quite a few people (me first) in quite a few places. Maybe this will start the car movement, ya think?

Charley has a bruise on his wrist as well as something similar to a rug burn on the same arm where the air bag deployed....I think that is what shook him up as he was really not traveling very fast and the other car had no damage.....but he is fine....just bummed that he is the one that ruined the car!!!! as if I care about the cars!

Glad Charley wasn't hurt! RIP Lebaron...You had A LOT of drivers and we are all sorry to see you gone! Papaw picked a good one that served us all very well. I wonder how many kids learned how to drive on that car? Can't believe the tominator is still going!!! It totally has seen many of the grandkids learning how to drive a stick shift!!

I always thought it would take more than a wreck for you guys to get rid of one of those cars. That car did serve us well though... luckily you still have 23 cars left over that you can take your pick from. Long live the Tomin8or, the maroon van, the suburban, the other suburban, and whatever cars you have hiding in Iverness.

NOOOOOOOO! :( Le Baron. I was there the day Papaw bought it...I may have even had a hand in the decision, as I test drove it at Cecil Court's Dodge in WV. Other than a testy transmission here and there, it had a good run...and serviced a number of drivers that at one point called it "my car" :) .

Glad Uncle Charley wasn't hurt.

Long live the TOMIN8R!!!!

Tell Charley that I have it on good authority that the LeBaron had been in contact Dr. Kevorian's car and ... well, it was a suicide pact. It probably just threw itself into the path of the other car. They do that sometimes. I'm glad Charley is okay.

I love all the comments so far! lt looks like good old LeBaron has quite a history behind him. It's sad when a beloved car bites the dust, they become part of the family don't they. My Volvo was called Erik the Red Volvo and he was my faithful friend for 21 years!!! But he eventually went to Valhalla, like all good Scandinavians.
You said you were driving through Ontario to get to Montreal... wish I had known, we could have met for coffee!! Oh well, next time.
